The grass is not always greener on the other side or the sky is not always clearer on the other side. The capital building sits on an isthmus in Madison, Wisconsin, between Lake Mendota and Lake Monona. Be the link between two larger areas of land under the same sky and work together to leave No Kid Hungry.
The statue atop the state capitol building is named Wisconsin, she was placed on the capitol dome as a symbol of the state's motto, "Forward." The coordinates are a call to action to those under her wing. Help Madison 4 Kids make a difference in the life of kids: to be healthy, to have confidence, to find inspiration and to learn.
Due to Madison's height restriction, buildings rarely exceed over 160 feet in height. Therefore, it is nearly impossible to get lost in downtown Madison. Infatuated by my experience in moving to Madison, Wisconsin and never feeling lost. This piece is a homage to the golden statue atop the capital building since she's been my golden compass.
